Everybody learns at a different rate, so it is impossible to answer this question in advance. However, as a guide; The CAAF minimum is 150 hours. To achieve this, the course has to be run in a specific way, with inter-related milestones for theory and flying. At SPATI, some students achieve their CPLs in 150 hours, although this is the exception to the rule. An average student is likely to get their CPL in 160-170 hours, although some students take longer than this. (Part time 200 hour course is available as well)
Application Process
For a Commercial Pilot, you are required to undergo a class 1 medical. An ARN is required before this can be done. A full list of medical examiners in Fiji, as well as overseas is available through caaf or the school.
You are required to have completed 12 years of schooling to undertake the course. Most airlines also generally require 12 years of schooling for someone to apply to join them. It is generally suggested that you have completed English, Maths although these are not mandatory subjects.
